As an attorney appearing in municipal and superior courts across New Jersey, Ray Raya, Esq. has worked with countless police officers over the years. Their commitment to their jobs and the communites they serve, while putting themselves in harm's way, inspired Ray to find a way to demonstrate his deep respect and appreciation for all officers. In particular, Ray wanted to assist in the fundraising efforts for Garden State C.O.P.S., the New Jersey Chapter of the national organization Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. that provides resources to assist surviving families and co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line-of-duty.

In October of 2012, the first NJ Law Enforcement Paintball Championship was held. Police officers from around the state came together in support of C.O.P.S. and to compete. Male and female officers participated in a round robin tournament where the last team standing earned the bragging rights as New Jersey's Toughest. Holmdel won the inaugural title. In October of 2013, over 100 officers battled in the rain. The South Amboy team took home the trophy. This year, the competition is expected to be bigger and better than ever!
